Hop on over to Seabourne Creek Nature Park on Saturday, April 9, for a chance to meet the Easter Bunny during the City of Rosenbergs Annual Easter Egg Hunt. The event is free and open to the public and will start promptly at 10 a.m. The park is located at 3831 Highway 36 S., Rosenberg, TX 77471. Children ages 12 and younger should arrive in plenty of time for the not-so-traditional egg scramble where kids try to quickly collect as many of the 10,000 eggs as possible. The scramble is organized by age groups of 3 and under, 4 to 6, 7 to 9 and 10 to 12. The Central Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at Anchor Bend Church, 1400 FM 2218 in Richmond. Sugar Land Easter Event Filled With Fun

EASTER SCAVENGER HUNT WITH IMPERIAL SUGAR

Head to Eldridge Park with the kids on March 19 for a chance to meet the legendary Easter Bunny. The city of Sugar Land will host its 32nd annual free EGGStravaganza from 12-3 p.m.

Be sure to arrive in plenty of time for the not-so-traditional egg scrambles where children scramble to collect as many eggs as possible in a short amount of time. Each scramble is broken down by age group and lasts approximately two minutes.

There will be an egg hunt area for children with special needs, and beeping eggs will be available for children with vision impairments.

Visitors also can check out carnival games, a petting zoo and many photo op stations. The newest addition to EGGStravaganza is the Sugar Land Express Trackless Train ride for all ages.

The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures, and the first 200 families will receive free printed pictures. Parking and all activities are free. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

For those who observe, Easter is a holy and vibrant celebration of renewal. And for those who don’t, but still look forward to the holiday, Easter means brunches and for kids, Easter egg hunts, usually starring a certain bunny.

This year offers plenty of fun for kids ready to search for eggs and adults ready to search for Easter kegs , or get their Easter yoga on. From Kemah to Simonton to downtown, here are your best bets for Easter weekend.

Friday

Blessington Farms in Simonton will have a two-day “Easter EGG-stravaganza.” Enjoy picking your own strawberries and fun in Farm Funland, with hayrides, barrel trains, giant slides, animal encounters and much more. There will also be an Easter egg hunt where children will hunt for eggs with candy and treats. 10 am.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum will invite kids to indulge in two-day “EggTivites.” Children will delight in egg dyeing, creating a bunny mask, and embellishing egg carton baskets or a bunny box to carry eggs. Plus, there will be photos with the Easter Bunny. 10 am.

Kemah Boardwalk in Kemah will host a three-day Easter Weekend complete with an egg hunt, an Easter egg/cookie-decorating workshop, performers, and the Easter Bunny. On Sunday morning, there will be a special sunrise service at 7:30 am. Noon.

Saturday

Children’s Museum Houston will have a meet-and-greet with the bunny of the hour — the famous Easter Bunny . Kids and adults can make some colorful bunny ears to wear at the Junktion table too. 10 am.

Families from the Rosenberg area got an early introduction to Easter last weekend during the City of Rosenberg’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt, held on the morning of Saturday, April 9 at Seabourne Creek Nature Park, 3831 Hwy. 36 S.

A total of 10,000 eggs were placed at the park, where children in four different age groups ran around and tried to gather as many as possible. Afterward, the kids enjoyed frozen treats and took photos with the Easter Bunny, who was on hand for the event.

More communities across Fort Bend County will be celebrating Easter this Sunday.
