Scrambled Eggs Recipe Ingredients

To make this scrambled eggs recipe, youll need 5 basic ingredients:

  • Eggs, of course! Use the freshest ones you can find, from a local source if possible . The fresher your eggs are, the sunnier, creamier, and more flavorful your scramble will be.
  • Milk, plant milk, or water I whisk a little into the eggs before I cook them. This additional moisture makes the eggs extra-soft and creamy. If you use plant milk, make sure to pick one with a neutral flavor. I recommend unsweetened almond milk.
  • Extra-virgin olive oil or butter, for the pan. I always use olive oil because its what I keep handy. But butter works well too itll add rich flavor to this recipe.
  • And pepper! To add depth of flavor to these simple scrambled eggs.

Remember that fats are an essential part of a balanced diet, and some are really good for you. Like long-chain omega-3 fatty acids, in particular DHA . This essential fatty acid is the same as those in oily fish and can help to keep your brain and eyes healthy. How to Make Stove Top Scrambled Eggs

Many people start their day with a light breakfast of scrambled eggs. Its quick, easy, and can be eaten in the car on your way to work or school! Scrambled eggs are an almost staple food for many people who eat them at least once per week.

The first thing I do every morning make scrambled eggs. It takes me about 5 minutes to make 3 eggs. First, I crack a few eggs into a bowl and whisk them up with salt and pepper. Then, I put the pan on the stove for 4 minutes on medium heat. Wait until its good and hot before adding oil to coat the bottom of the pan so that when you pour in your egg mixture it doesnt stick or burn! After 2-3 minutes, take a spatula and break up any large clumps because this will help cook your eggs more evenly while making sure they dont overcook or get too dry! My favorite way to eat scrambled eggs is topped off with some avocado slices!

How To Know The Nutrition Values Of Foods

There is a lot of food out there to eat. To make it easier for you to make healthy food choices, there are some tools you can use to help you find out the nutritional values of the food you eat. One of the best ways is to use a food calculator. A food calculator is a website that allows you to enter the ingredients of a food, along with other information about the food, and it will give you the nutritional values. You can use a food calculator to find out the calories, fat, protein, fiber, carbohydrates, sodium, and more. However, you will need to be aware of some of the limitations of using a calculator. For example, if the food has multiple ingredients, the calculator will only give you the nutritional values of the first one. And sometimes, you may want to compare one food to another. For example, you may be trying to decide between a breakfast sandwich and a bagel. A food calculator can help you with that decision. If youre interested in using a food calculator to learn more about the nutritional values of your food, here are some websites to look at:

Why Are Scrambled Eggs Higher In Calories Than Fried Eggs

Have you ever heard the saying that fried eggs are better than scrambled eggs? It turns out that this is actually true, and it has to do with how much fat is in each. When frying an egg, most of the fat that gets added will stay on the outside of the egg. This means that when eating your fried egg, youll be consuming about half a gram more calories for every single bite! Scrambled eggs have a different cooking process, so they are typically made up of less total calories per serving. But dont worry! There are still ways to get some healthy fats into your diet through these two methods as long as you just swap them occasionally.

Scrambled eggs are higher in calories than fried eggs because they require more butter or oil to cook. Scrambled eggs also have a lot of air beaten into them, which means that not only do you get the same amount of protein as in a fried egg but also an extra dose of fat and cholesterol.

The calories on this recipe seemed rather low considering it calls for 2 eggs plus cottage cheese. On checking the calories per ingredient, I found that it should be one egg only. Obviously when Sookie input the ingredients, she put ONE egg, but typed TWO in the directions.
Loved the addition of cottage cheese for extra protein. I also wanted more veggies so included spinach and mushrooms and tomato. After adding all that my Scrambled Eggs For One was certainly enough for two.
I just made this with no fat cottage cheese, organic eggs, 1/4 cup of crimini mushrooms and 5 pieces of asparagus chopped. I added a little onion powder and used 2 T of fat free cheddar. AMAZING
